My Big Blue
our cruise boat

After several years of diving cruises with various chartered cruise ships, diving with our own boat has become our priority. Built in 2004 in Egypt, we acquired Big Blue in 2018. A major renovation begins since it is totally redesigned and rebuilt taking into account the suggestions of divers: space, comfort, quality services and an efficient team.

Big Blue proudly makes its first cruise in October 2020.
Every year maintenance and servicing work is carried out in order to maintain its performance at its optimum level. We also use this time to improve the comfort and services on board.

Diving equipment on board

  • 2 compressors of 360 litres each ensure effective bottle inflation
  • Nitrox, compressor with membrane

Large platforms make it easy for divers to set sail and equip themselves.

The capacity is limited to 24 divers per cruise, guaranteeing a significant personal space.

The bright and air-conditioned restaurant ensures pleasant meals. The upper deck offers a shaded terrace with a bar, a spacious air-conditioned lounge equipped with a TV and a hi-fi system.

The high-deck offers a large sunny terrace, equipped with sun loungers and a lounge area, allowing relaxation and sunbathing between dives.

The crew consists of a captain and his second, cooks, restaurant/lounge manager and his second, mechanics, zodiac captains and aids to mooring the boat, etc.

The master is responsible for the vessel and its passengers. He maneuvers the boat with precision, directs the entire crew and ensures the safety of the passengers.

The cooks are responsible for preparing all meals for both passengers and crew. They ensure quality and food diversity, adapting to the different nutritional needs and culinary preferences of participants.

This crew member performs several essential functions. He is responsible for cleaning the living areas and cabins, ensures the general well-being of passengers, manages the meal service, takes care of the bar supply and snacks, thus contributing to the overall comfort of the cruise.

The mechanics guarantee the technical operation of the boat. They supervise the condition of engines, generators and compressors, including the inflation of diving cylinders, ensuring the mechanical reliability of the craft.

They manage the divers’ dives in and out, provide constant surface surveillance during the dives and take care of the mooring of the boat, contributing directly to diver safety.

Guides are essential to a cruise.

A Senior Dive Director and at least one Second Dive Guide are always on board.

They welcome passengers, check-in, liaise between the captain and passengers, provide dive briefings, supervise divers on request and ensure their well-being, both on the boat and underwater.

The satisfaction of the participants begins with the booking. Divers are invited to detail their specific needs: equipment, bottles, training, special diets. During the cruise, the crew is constantly attentive, flexible and available, adjusting its services to best meet everyone’s expectations.

Our cuisine is inspired by the European style, offering a varied and refined culinary experience. Meals always include a choice of fish and meat, accompanied by an assortment of vegetables and starches. The dishes are mainly served as a buffet, with some evenings «à la carte» dinner.

Breakfast is served as a full and balanced buffet. Participants can have a meal with cereals, fresh fruit, salads, dairy products and various proteins. This formula allows everyone to customize their first meal of the day according to their preferences.

Our catering schedule adapts to the pace of the dives. Breakfast is served around 7:30, after the first dive. Lunch is between 12:00 and 13:00, following the second dive. Dinner is offered in the evening after the last dive of the day. This schedule remains flexible and can be adjusted to dive sites and conditions.

Absolutely! Every meal ends with a dessert, adding a gourmet touch to the culinary experience. These varied sweets perfectly complement meals and offer a moment of pleasure after the efforts of diving.

In addition to the main meals, we offer several culinary alternatives. After the afternoon dive, homemade snacks are served, including toast, cakes, and pizzas. Fruits and cupcakes are always available. The bar offers unlimited cold drinks, allowing divers to drink at any time.

Cold and soft drinks are available at will in the bar fridge. Participants can drink freely throughout the day.

We pay particular attention to individual nutritional needs. At the time of booking, we collect information regarding specific diets and allergies. These details are confirmed at check-in, allowing us to adapt our menus and guarantee a safe and personalized dining experience.

The Big Blue lounge is a multifunctional space designed for passenger comfort and enjoyment. A television is installed, allowing the projection of films and viewing underwater photos taken during the day. A hi-fi system completes the equipment, offering a pleasant sound environment and allowing travelers to enjoy their music.

A library is available to passengers, inviting them to discover different works. Travellers can borrow books or share their own readings, enriching the collective experience and fostering cultural exchanges among participants.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own books, board games and headphones. After the dives, the lounge becomes a privileged meeting place where divers meet, exchange experiences, share impressions and rest, creating moments of conviviality and connection.

Between dive sessions, passengers can enjoy various activities. They can watch movies, listen to music, read, play board games, share their diving stories or just rest. The living room offers a space for relaxation and socialization suitable for all.

Absolutely. The living room is a friendly common area. It is designed to allow divers to meet, relax and connect, regardless of their origin, diving level or personality.
