The site of Abu Nuhas and its coral-rich wrecks, the legendary SS Thistlegorm wreck and the famous Ras Mohamed National Park will impress you.
Located on the north coast of Shadwan Island, about 40 km from Hurghada, this spot is flush with the surface. The north side of the reef is home to 4 wrecks including Carnatic, Giannis D and Chrisoula K. If their common point is a collision with the reef, their story is different and will be subject to detailed briefing on board.
After Ras Mohamed, we find Shaab Mahmoud. The southern part of the reef is home to the Dunraven wreck. It rests on a sandy bottom and beautiful hard and soft corals have settled there. The reef itself is nice, rich in corals and different species of fish can be found.
Is characterized by magnificent falls. Due to its location on the Sinai Peninsula, at the junction of the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba, the salinity of the water is variable and offers a spectacular range of reefs, various types of fish, various corals and lush walls. Shark Reef and Yolanda Reef are the most popular spots in Ras Mohammed. They offer the opportunity to observe every species of fish in the Red Sea.
Is located in the Gubal Strait, between the Shaab Ali reef and the Sinai coast. It is probably the most famous wreck of the Red Sea. The British freighter was attacked by a German bomber in 1941. The wreck is laid on the bottom at 32m depth. Tanks, trucks, motorcycles, weapons and railway engines are particularly well preserved and interesting to observe.
On the side of Gubal Island is the wreck Ulysses or the very famous Rosalie Moller. Ulysses is one of the oldest wrecks in the Red Sea. Coral is abundant, as well as the reef beside which it lies. Rosalie Moller suffered the same fate as SS Thistlegorm. The wreck is placed on a sandy bottom about 50 m deep. It is remarkably preserved and offers a rich and unusual fauna.
Siyul Kebir is located in the southern part of Gubal Island Strait. The site extends from east to west around the island. The reef has an extremely varied profile and rich in various corals. The aquatic life is very exuberant and frequently attracts pelagic species. Leopard sharks are sometimes spotted.
The diving spots are varied: Shaab El Erg, north of Hurghada, we often find bottlenose dolphins. Shaab Ruhr Umm Gamar, south of Shaab El Erg. The reef consists of a wall covered with corals, a coral garden with the remains of a small wreck and a drop-off. Several types of dives are possible there. Or, the wreck of El Minya, located in front of the main port of Hurghada.
